The BIBELWELT is one of the biggest and most well-known Bible museums in the world and attracts countless visitors from all around the world. The BIBELWELT is not just a regular museum since it offers a highly interactive exhibition that allows visitors to experience the history of the Bible in a unique way. Our job was to completely revamp the brand identity and modernize every aspect of its online presence.

The Client

The BIBELWELT is an organisation that serves as the perfect medium to bring the Bible closer to you. In an interactive exhibition, you are invited to experience the stories up close, die and resurrect like Jesus, get into a thunderstorm like Jona – and much more. The Bible World Salzburg sees itself as an adventure museum in which biblical stories can be experienced with all senses. It is the perfect place for children, families, or pretty much anyone that likes the Bible – and it is even for those who lost faith.

The hands-on human experience has been designed to encourage ‘curious individuals of all ages to find out more, and to reveal the cultural treasures in the Bible to everyone!! BIBELWELT presents the Bible and its contents with great attention to detail, and the exhibition is done with a singular mission of spreading awareness of the teachings of the Bible. They are open to all forms of criticism on the Bible and Christianity and aim towards creating a constructive and safe space for discussions on faith. The organisation passionately works towards being an integral part of being an experiential space that passionately works towards helping individuals immerse themselves into the origin and principles of the Bible. The organisation was open to change and craft experiences regarding its brand in such a way that it reaches the widest audience possible.

The Challenges

BIBELWELT came to us with certain stumbling blocks that they felt we could provide a unique solution for. They wanted a rebranding of their identity, brand perspective and logo. Their logo was a yellow ear which is an entrance to their organisation that they wanted to retain but also incorporate interesting elements and make the logo more contemporary and avant-garde. They also wanted to simplify the overwhelming information and the variety of experiences that they provide with only vital information being present online and enhance the online ticket sales concept. They also wanted us to kickstart campaigns that improve brand awareness, which in turn increases sales and revenue generation for BIBELWELT.

Our Solution

We created a new brand identity for BIBELWELT focusing more on the yellow hues than the blue which was part of the previous design. We defined new colours and tones to suit the brand identity. The yellow colour represents the resurrection of Christ and marks the positivity that BIBELWELT wishes to emulate. We created a consistent brand image by recreating their business cards, letterheads, and logos. The website was then created in multiple languages and a 3D tour was also put forth on the website. The key factors we had in mind when creating the website were usability and interactive experience. We created the website in such a way that the user experience was inclusive, can be accessible and easy to use for older and disabled individuals. We implemented the shop option online where customers can buy BIBELWELT products and book online tickets to the exhibition, thereby increasing sales and revenue. We also implemented a new newsletter tool.

End Result

3x website visitors – 42%+ higher ticket sales on page – 100+ visitors on their new 3D-Tour

The website after being created in 5+ languages with a 3D tour had a great reception and was structured inclusively keeping in mind the needs of older and disabled individuals. We also implemented an online shop with all the BIBELWELT products as well as an online ticket sales counter which led to an increase in revenue for the organisation. We also implemented a new newsletter tool, automated certain tasks for more convenient and seamless functioning helping them drastically increase productivity and engagement of employees. BIBELWELT is really happy with the new identity, and the entire team rejoiced with the colours, brand identity and website and is looking forward to the growth of the organisation. The results of the marketing and branding initiatives done by Auroara led to better recognition of BIBELWELT by the public with an increase in sales and revenue.
