The Clairvoyants

Amélie van Tass and Thommy Ten are “THE CLAIRVOYANTS”. They are global superstars who were the finalists of America’s Got Talent and world-renowned illusionists who use mentalism to showcase breathtaking magic. Their mind-blowing live shows have amazed millions of people across the globe. We created a fully interactive live show where we helped them with branding and created video content and animations for their live screens.

The Client

The Clairvoyants are two celebrated illusionists and magicians Amélie van Tass and Thommy Ten. They are renowned mentalists whose live shows have been widely appreciated across the globe. Thommy Ten and Amélie van Tass continue to appear with their full-length show in America and Europe and perform for corporate events worldwide. At the beginning of 2019, they appeared twice on NBC’s new show “America’s Got Talent the Champions “and they are regular guests on The Ellen Show. A highlight of their career was the opportunity to perform their show at the Sydney Opera House. They have also been chosen as “World Champions of Mentalism” in the year 2015, a prize that hasn’t been awarded in 30 years. In April 2017, the Academy of Magical Arts and The Magic Castle Hollywood awarded Thommy Ten & Amélie van Tass “Stage Magicians of the Year 2016” for their extraordinary art. In 2020 they received the Award „Mandrakes d’Or” in Paris, France.

The Challenges

The Clairvoyants came to us with the need to shoot videos for an upcoming tour “DREIFACH ZAUBERHAFT” that will happen in 2023, 2024, and 2025. The challenge was that we had to shoot the videos within a week in Las Vegas, which was an extremely short period of time. The videos were being shot two years ahead of their tour schedule. We also had the pleasure of working with the client’s adorable dog, Koni Hundini. We also had to make sure that our videos can also be used on social media apart from the tours. Beforehand we already produced the content for their ZWEIFACH ZAUBERHAFT Tour which was shot in Austria. The show has been immensely popular being attended by hundreds of thousands of visitors all around the globe.

Our Solution

The Clairvoyants were performing at a residency show in Las Vegas at the time of filming and we based the video’s theme on the life and culture of Vegas. Compared to the previous videos that we had done for them, in this video, we used warmer and more appealing tones with predominant themes like the desert, casinos, Roulette etc. to grab the immediate attention of the viewer. We experimented with different formats and used about 5 cameras to get multi-dimensional shots for social media content. We also filmed a vlog – A Day in the life of The Clairvoyants to create a beautiful cinematic experience that chronicled the process of filming the videos and the quirky behind the scenes.

End Result

We were able to create videos that were exceptional in quality and effectively conveyed the details of the tour and why it will surely be an unmissable experience. The videos were also used for social media marketing and to increase brand presence and visibility on social media platforms. The clients were really happy with the output and captivated by the videos. The most important aspect that we wanted to achieve through this campaign was that we did not want to showcase the magic done by our clients, but we wanted every frame and second of the video to be filled with magic through our skills in video making and editing to keep the audience hooked to the content.
